Epworth Trivia: The Briggs Ministers

Charles A. Briggs, Sr. was Epworth's first pastor from 1894 through 1899. Prior to starting Epworth church, he was a member of the (former) Grace Methodist church on South Street. Grace churc began in the early 1880s. At leasts 3 other Briggs men became pastors. They were Charles Briggs (Jr), Walter Briggs, and Frank Briggs, all, at one time or another, a part of Grace church.
